Abstract

Education has an important role in developing skills, especially in 21st century learning. One learning model that can be applied is the PjBL model which is integrated with STEAM, which can increase student activity and achieve the desired educational goals. The aim of this research is to reintegrate the results of research studies on the PjBL learning model with STEAM in biology learning. The method used in this research uses literature review techniques from 15 articles that have been published by previous research. The results of the literature study show that learning using STEAM integrated PjBL has a higher value in improving critical thinking skills of students compared to conventional scientific-based learning models. These two learning models have integration which has advantages and has great potential in creating or improving students' creative thinking skills. The implications as practical of this research can provide knowledge or guidance for biology educators in designing better and more effective learning strategies to improve students' skills and understanding in the learning context, especially in biology learning
