Abstract

Fulfilling balanced nutrition for early childhood is very important so that their growth and development are not disturbed. The phenomenon that occurs now is that children prefer junk food to fresh food in the form of vegetables and fruits, especially the practicality of packaging, effective in time is an option for parents who are busy working. This habit, if left unchecked, will carry over into adulthood, which is likely to have an impact on the child's health. Interest in the Lunch Education program carried out by RA Istiqlal Jakarta in overcoming children who are picky eating, especially in terms of eating fruit. Stage by step is carried out so that children are stimulated to try the lunch menu provided. Using a descriptive qualitative method. Use target samples to identify learners. Using data collection techniques in the form of structured interviews, non-participant observations, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used include data reduction, data representation and conclusion graphs. The validity and reliability technique uses triangulation of sources, techniques and time. The results of the study show the success of the Lunch Education program with pol and stages carried out by RA Istiqlal until all children try and enjoy eating nutritious food. The implementation of the Lunch Education program requires cooperation between the principal, teachers, people in charge and the person in charge of catering
